Questions and answers
Short answers first, details after.
Basics
What is a digital wedding invitation website?
A digital wedding invitation website is a single web page that holds your wedding details, such as names, date, event timeline, venue map and countdown, and that guests open from a link on their phone. It replaces or complements a printed card and can be updated if a time or venue changes.
How is this different from a PDF or image invitation?
A website invitation adapts to every phone screen, shows directions and the countdown, and can be corrected after you share it. An image or PDF is fixed, can look tiny on a phone and cannot be updated once it has been forwarded.
Can I see a real example before I decide?
Yes. Every design in the catalogue has a live sample you can open on your phone. The samples use fictional couples and nothing you type into them is stored or sent.
Customising and photos
Can a design be customised to my choices?
Yes. Every design is customised for you: your names, wording, languages, accent colour, events, venues and photos. The artwork and layout of the design you pick stay as you saw them, and a fully custom look is part of the Premium package.
Can I add my own photos and pre-wedding photoshoot pictures?
Yes. Your own photos, including pre-wedding photoshoot pictures, go into the gallery of your invitation, and an Experience invitation can give them a photo story of their own. The Standard package includes up to 12 photos and more can be quoted. We resize every photo for fast loading, and you confirm you have permission to use the people and images shown.
How do I send my photos and what quality do they need?
Send them on WhatsApp or email, as original files if you can, at least 1600 pixels on the longer side. We crop and resize them, and you approve the preview before it goes live. Photos are used only to build your invitation, and you can ask us to delete them.
Experience invitations
What is an Experience invitation?
An Experience invitation adds an opening effect, such as a lamp being lit or an envelope opening, and an illustrated scrolling journey to your invitation. There are three tiers: Essence with no effect, Unfold with an opener and gentle reveals, and Premiere with a cinematic scroll that has a camera move in every chapter. The extra layer is quoted with your package.
Will an Experience invitation work on older phones and slow networks?
Yes. The effects load only after the guest taps, and the invitation switches to a lighter version on slow connections, low-memory phones, Save-Data mode and for people who prefer reduced motion. If JavaScript is off, the plain invitation still shows everything.
Is the artwork in the Experience scenes original?
The scenes are AI-assisted illustrations that we review for cultural accuracy before use. Similar scenes can exist, so exclusivity is not included unless agreed in writing. The samples on this site use simple placeholder art while the final paintings are prepared.
Does an Experience invitation play music?
Not yet. If music is added later it will be an opt-in button that never plays by itself, and only with recordings we have the right to use.
Can I see my own names in an Experience before I decide?
Yes. Ask for a free sample preview with your names and date. We send it within one working day. It is a preview only: nothing is published and you pay nothing.
Pricing and delivery
How much does a wedding invitation website cost?
You can publish an invitation yourself from ₹349, with the price shown before you pay. For a studio-built invitation website, contact us for pricing: scope, languages and number of events change the cost, so you get a written quote before you pay anything.
How much does an eDesign poster cost?
eDesign posters start at ₹199 per poster, depending on final scope. A poster is delivered as PNG and PDF, sized for WhatsApp and Instagram. Printing and paid assets are not included unless agreed.
How long does delivery take?
Delivery time is counted from the day we receive all your content: names, dates, venues, photos and wording. The schedule is confirmed in writing before payment. Urgent delivery can cost extra.
How many changes can I ask for?
Each package includes a defined number of revision rounds, where one round is a single consolidated list of changes within the agreed design. Changing to a completely different design counts as a new project. The exact allowance is written in your quote and in the revisions and refunds policy.
How long will my invitation stay online?
Hosting duration and renewal terms are agreed in writing for each project, so you know the end date up front. If you publish it yourself, the end date is shown on your confirmation page. We do not promise lifetime hosting.
Publishing and payment
Can I publish my invitation myself and get a QR code?
Yes. On the publish page you fill in your details, pick a design and Experience, add your photos, pay on a secure payment page, and receive a private link such as myeinvite.online/k7m2x9qd4wpr and a QR code to download for print or sharing. Prefer help? Send an enquiry and we build it with you.
Is paying online safe?
Yes. You pay on the hosted page of our payment partner, Dodo Payments, so card and bank details are entered there and never reach this website or our servers. Our site is told only that the payment succeeded, and that message is cryptographically signed so it cannot be faked.
Who can open my published invitation?
Anyone who has the link or QR code can open it, and nobody else can find it: the address is a random 12-character code that cannot be guessed, it is not listed on search engines, and the page is marked private. Share it only with the people you invite. You can ask us to take it down at any time.
What happens to my photos?
Photos are shrunk and re-saved in your browser before upload, which removes hidden location data. They are shown only on your invitation, kept for its hosting period, and deleted with it. Drafts that are never paid for are deleted automatically after seven days.
Sharing and privacy
Can guests RSVP on the invitation?
Not yet. Guest RSVP collection needs a secure database that is still being planned, so it is not offered today. Your invitation can include a button that opens WhatsApp or a phone call, so guests can reply the usual way.
How do I share the invitation on WhatsApp?
Send the invitation link as a normal WhatsApp message. The link opens in one tap, and WhatsApp shows your names, the date and the city in the preview. For large guest lists, send it to family groups first and use broadcast lists for the rest.
Is my family’s information safe?
We only ask for details needed to build the invitation, we do not sell your information, and private invitation content is not published in a public code repository. Read the privacy policy for how enquiry details are used and deleted.
Can guests add the events to their calendar, and see times in their own time zone?
Yes. Every event has a Google Calendar link and a downloadable calendar file. Event times are shown in Indian time, and a guest in another time zone also sees the time in their own zone beneath it.
Can I greet each guest by name?
Yes. We can prepare a link per guest that opens with a greeting such as “Dear Lakshmi Aunty”. It is only a greeting: it does not track guests and it does not collect replies.
Tamil and languages
Can the invitation be in Tamil?
Yes. Invitations can be fully in Tamil, fully in English, or both in the same page. Tamil text is shown with fonts that render correctly on Android, iPhone, Windows and Mac without downloading large font files.
Do you help with the wording of the invitation?
Yes. The guides section has wording samples in Tamil and English for different families and situations, and we can adapt them to yours. Please have an elder in the family confirm names and honorifics before publishing.
