What we collect, and why
- Enquiry details you type into the form: name, WhatsApp number or email, the service and design you are interested in, an optional event date and your notes. Why: to reply and prepare a quote.
- Messages you send us on WhatsApp or email. Why: to answer and deliver the work.
- Invitation content you give us to build your invitation: names, events, venues and photos. Why: to build and host it.
- If you publish an invitation yourself: the content you type and the photos you add. Photos are shrunk and re-saved in your browser first, which removes hidden location data. The payment is taken by Dodo Payments, which collects your payment details and email. We receive only a confirmation that the payment succeeded and its reference, never your card or bank details. Why: to host your invitation and give you your link.
- Technical data. Our hosting provider, Netlify, keeps ordinary server logs, such as your IP address and the pages requested. To limit abuse we also keep a scrambled, one-way form of your IP address for a short time, which cannot be turned back into the address. Why: to keep the service secure and working.
You give us this information by choosing to send it, and we use it only for the reasons given next to it. You can withdraw your consent at any time by telling us, and we will stop using it, although this will not undo what has already been done with it.
The sample invitations on this site are fictional. Nothing you do in them is stored or sent.
The free greeting maker
The greeting maker at /greetings/ works entirely in your browser. A greeting is packed into the link you share, after the # sign, which your browser never sends to us. We do not receive, store or log the text of a greeting, so we cannot read, change or remove one. Anyone who has a greeting link can read it. Please keep private details such as addresses, phone numbers and bank details out of a greeting.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your information.
- We do not ask for government ID numbers, payment card details or bank passwords in the enquiry form.
- We do not put private invitation content in a public code repository.
- We do not use advertising trackers or advertising cookies on this site.
Who processes your details, and where
Form submissions are received by our hosting provider's form service and sent to us. Messages on WhatsApp are processed by WhatsApp under its own terms. Hosted invitations and their photos are stored with our hosting provider, Netlify. Self-service payments are processed by Dodo Payments on its own hosted page. If you ask for an AI-generated video in a studio package, the photos you choose are sent to the AI video provider we use to make it, and we name that provider here when the service starts. These companies may process data on servers outside India. They are our service providers and may use your data only to provide their service to us, or as their own policies state for payments. We will name any additional processors here if we add them.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted within 12 months.
- Project content is kept for the hosting period agreed in your quote and then deleted, unless you ask us to keep it longer.
- Invitations you publish yourself: a draft that is never paid for is deleted after seven days, and a published invitation and its photos are deleted when its hosting period of 12 months ends.
- Records of payments and invoices are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
You can ask us to delete your details earlier at any time, except where the law requires us to keep a record.
Children
This site is for adults and is not directed at children. An invitation may include the name or photo of a child, such as for a naming ceremony, baptism or birthday. Only a parent or guardian, or someone with their permission, should add a child's details, and by adding them you confirm that you are allowed to. We do not track or profile children, or show them advertising.
Your rights
You can ask us to show you the personal data we hold about you, correct it, complete it, or delete it, and you can withdraw your consent. You can also nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or cannot act. Write to the grievance contact above and we will answer within 15 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India once it is open to complaints. We would like the chance to put things right first.
Security and breaches
We use encrypted connections, store invitation drafts under long random secrets, check every upload, and limit who can read stored data. No system is perfectly safe. If a breach that affects your data happens, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
Cookies, local storage and analytics
This site does not set cookies of its own. If you choose to show Tamil names beside the English ones, that choice is remembered in your browser's local storage (a key called mye-also) and is never sent to us. Your answer to the analytics question below is also kept in local storage (a key called mye-consent).
If the site owner has switched analytics on, we ask once whether you agree. Only if you say yes, the site loads Google Analytics (counts visits and button taps) and Microsoft Clarity (heatmaps and anonymised session recordings that show where people tap and scroll). These tools set their own cookies. We send them page addresses without names or personal query details, and the button or form you used. We do not send names, phone numbers or email addresses. Clarity hides what you type in forms. Analytics never run on your private invitation pages, greeting links or the publishing forms, and they do not run if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. You can change your mind with the "Analytics choices" link in the footer. Google and Microsoft act as processors under their own terms and may handle data outside India.
Changes
We will update this page if our practices change and show the date at the top.
